Sunny September

Well, September has arrived and the children have gone back to school, the sun has come out again, along with the roses and the butterflies.

Last weekend the garden was full of butterflies.

We went off to a local farmers store to get me a new waterproof, couldn't resist a photo call with the owl!

We had fun at the garden centre ...................

................... and in the park in Truro after a shopping trip.

Last weekend we had a drive into Newquay - a very English scene but what a backdrop.

Of course as you are now very aware, any day out involves a walk, this time we walked along Fistral beach. The sun was shining and the waves were good so there were plenty of surfers in the water. I was ready for a rescue mission!

Surf board and wet suit about £8 to hire for the day. I wonder how warm the sea is?

The compulsory Vdub -if you are a surfer.

After our walk we wandered down to the harbour for a coffee.

This boat was taking people out mackerel fishing.

This seal should have been out mackerel fishing but was lazing around in the harbour instead!

A bit like this one!

They don't mince their words down here!

It's great since the children have gone back to school and we have the beaches to ourselves again.

Shell shocked!

Enjoying the sunshine - this was a slight diversion we took on our way to Tesco to do the weekly shop last Friday!

Leaving for Spain tomorrow.........................Cornish adventure will be resumed beginning with autumn storms in November. x
