Further adventures.

The snow and freezing temperatures stayed around for a good 10 days and Eric discovered he could walk on water! He enjoyed a bit of ice-skating on the pond in the garden. The ice was at least 3cm deep and took all week to melt.

We enjoyed a hot chocolate with marshmallows and lashings of fresh cream after a stroll around the harbour.

What a difference a week makes - this weekend brought sunny days and temperatures soared..........well they made double figures.............just! Padstow was quite busy, we didn't stop for a drink but headed off to the beach.

Blues skies......but who is this wandering bin-man - seems to have lost his bin lorry?
After a good walk we found a comfy spot for a hot chocolate

Last weekend in freezing temperatures we visited Mevagissey and I couldn't resist fish and chips on the harbour - they were really good!

Cook to order just for me.

It was very cold and all the small crabbing boats were all at anchor.

The view from the pub was excellent and the beer was good too. As I had missed out on my trip to Spain I went for a San Miguel!

On the way home we stopped off for a quick walk on Pentewan beach.

It's a pretty village and especially nice in the winter. In summer its heaving with tourists.

The water was frozen and this morhen was not happy.

Snow on the beach looks so strange.
